"The research aim is:- to determine the magnetocrystalline anisotropy parameters of R-Co-B intermetallics by experimental investigation of their single crystals under normal and high pressure;- to establish possible empirical relationship between the magnetocrystalline anisotropy contribution arisen from 4f(Ce)-itinerant states in Ce-Co-B intermetallics and the crystallographic properties of CaCu(5)-related intermetallics;- to clarify the contribution of the 5d-electron states to the magnetocrystalline anisotropy in R-Co intermetallics by comparative study of isostructural Gd-Co and Y-Co intermetallic compounds. International cooperation will be essential to fulfil tasks of the project, namely to ensure the single crystals works and high magnetic field measurements. We expect that the experimental achievements done within the project will stimulate the further theoretical investigation and will be valuable for a progress in the material application in engineering and technologies."@en . .
