<n0:ComplexDefinition xmlns:n0="http://ncicb.nci.nih.gov/xml/owl/EVS/ComplexProperties.xsd#"><n0:def-definition>A person, partnership, corporation, or association that has a place of business or/and residence in the United States and is physically present in United States, whom a foreign facility designates as its agent. A U.S. agent cannot be in the form of a mailbox, answering machine, or service, or other place where an individual acting as the foreign facility's agent is not physically present. The U.S. agent acts as a communications link between FDA and the facility.
