The steady growing field of nanotechnology demands a design of new composite materials, which can exhibit new functionality. Currently considerable attention has been paid to antibacterial protection of various materials, including polymers, used in a medical field. One of the routes of polymer antimicrobial protection is their modification with compounds possessing the desired property. This work introduces preparation of a hybrid antimicrobial polymer modifier through microware-assisted synthesis of ZnO/Ag nanoparticles on cellulose based template.
