Majority industrial processes as thermal, chemical, biological, plastic etc. obtain time-delays. Therefore, the problem of the idenntification and optimal control of such processes is of great imortance. These time-delay processes can be effectively handled by the Model-based Predictive Control (MPC) method. The contribution deals with design of an algorithm for self-tuning principle predictive control of such processes. This principle is one of possible approaches to control of nonlinear systems or systems with uncertainness. Three types of processes were chosen for simulation verification of the designed self-tuning predictive controller. The program system MATLAB/SIMULINK was used for testing and verification of this predictive controller.
