In the presented paper, the influence of milling on the process of carbon black self-agglomeration within rubber compound is evaluated. This process, widely known as flocculation, usually arises during storage, extrusion and vulcanization stages. Therefore, a flocculation process affects the final level of filler microdispersion and indirectly the final rubber compound properties also. A method based on the modification of well-known Coran and Donnet method published in 1992 is introduced here. This method provides a tool for the description of flocculation kinetics of microdispersed aggregates and further shows coherence with carbon black properties and rubber compound processing.
