This work deals with study of electromagnetic properties of maghemite-based nanoparticles in relation to its application for magnetic mediated hyperthermia. Maghemite-based nanoparticles with high permeability have been obtained using lyophilizing from ferrofluids prepared via co-precipitation of iron chlorides. Thus obtained particles were characterised in terms of their structure and magnetic (both static and dynamic) properties as well as appropriateness for hyperthermia.
