Dva typy jílů, sodný typ montmorilonitu a bentonit byly povrchově upraveny dvěma typy interkalací, ion dipólovou a ion výměnnou. Pro první metodu byl zvolen hexadecylamin jako interkalační činidlo a pro druhou cetyltrimetylammoniumbromid. Získané vzorky byly testovány rentgenovou difrakcí. Plnivo s největší mezivrstevní vzdáleností bylo smícháno s polymerní matricí Surlyn(R) 9721. U této směsi se následně testovaly vlastnosti jako jsou permeabilita vodní páry a dusíku a mechanické vlastnosti. Two types of clay, sodium montmorillonite and bentonite were surface modified by two types of intercalation, namely ion-dipole and ion-exchange. For the first method hexadecylamine and for the second method cetyltrimethylammonium bromide as modifying agents were used. Obtained samples were X-ray tested. Fillers with highest interlayer spacing were mixed with polymer matrix, Surlyn(R) 9721. Following properties were tested: water vapour and nitrogen permeability, mechanical properties.
