One of the major problems during the cross-linking process of collagen hydrolyzate is instrumentation (measurement and control). There is not suitable sensing method for monitoring of the cross-linking reaction. This reaction is accompanied by a change in colour (if the cross-linker is glutaraldehyde). The present study concentrates on evaluating the cross-linking reaction of collagen hydrolyzate with glutaraldehyde. The degree and rate of the colour change depend on the amount of glutaraldehyde and the dilution of collagen in the solution. The paper describes some of the important measurement which is focused on the optical sensor design. V současné době neexistuje senzorická metoda pro sledování uvedené reakce. Ta je mimo jiné doprovázena i změnou zbarvení. Stupeň a rychlost změny zbarvení závisí na množství komponent a zředění. V článku jsou popsána důležitá měření zaměřená na návrh optického senzorického systému.
