dcterms:description
Monoacylglycerols are partial esters of long-chain fatty acid and glycerol. They belong to group of lipids. Due to their amphiphilic nature, they have emulsifying properties and exhibit inhibitory effects against some types of microorganisms. This second property makes them promising substance for use in various fields of the food industry, and possibly even in some technical branches. Their high microbicidal activity predestinates them for the use as promising preparations with respect to antimycotic treatment. The treatment of textile materials, specially lining and insole materials by the monoaclyglycerol of caprylic acid, as a prevention of foot mycotic diseases was the main subject of our interest. The treatment of textile materials, specially lining and insole materials by the monoaclyglycerol of caprylic acid, as a prevention of foot mycotic diseases was the main subject of our interest.
