Surface characteristics of collagen hydrolysate, gelatine, glue and oligomers based on condensation of urea and formaldehyde are compared with characteristics of heartwood, extracted heartwood, PVC, nylon 6,6 and cellulose with the aim of determining the greatest value of theoretical work of adhesion. The surface characteristics (total surface tension, Lifschitz-van der Vaals, proton donor and proton acceptor part of polar surface tension) were computed on the basis of contact angle of water, glycerol, formamide, ethylene glycol, tricresylphosphate and diiodomethane on solid film surface of the matrials tested. Polymers cohesion parameters maps show that oligometrs of dimetlylol urea type are the best adhesive for selected type of adherents ( wood, PVC, nylon 6,6). Bylo sledováno povrchové napětí vybraných typů adhesiv ( kolagenní hydrolysát, klih, želatina, oligonmery na báti kondensace močoviny s formladehydem) a adherentů ( dřevo, vysušení resp. extrahované dřevo, PVC, nylon 6,6). Bylo vypočteno celkové povrchové napětí,dispersní ( lifschitz- van der Vaalsovská) a polární složka, včetně jeho proton donorové a proton acceptorové složky . Jako testovacích kapalin bylo využito vody, , glycerolu, formamidu, ethylene-glykol, trikresylfosfátu a diiodmethanu. Výsledky byly vyhodnoceny jako mapy kohesních parametrů jednotlivých adherentů a adehesiv.
