A FEM model of microstructure of the wood and a structural analysis of the wood on this level was the aim of this work. New elements are incorporated in the model. They consist on a more accurate shape of wood cells (rounded corners of cells) and bordered pits in cell walls. A significant influence of these new components on the distribution of the stress in the model was expected. Standard tests of real wood were performed as well. The results of the numerical model were compared with results of the real tests and the values from literature. The close agreement of the FEM model with the experiment and especially with the literature data was observed. Cílem této práce bylo vytvořit FEM model mikroskopické struktury dřeva a provést jeho strukturální analýzu. Do modelu byly zahrnuty některé nové prvky. Jedná se o zaoblené rohy buněčných stěn a o dvůrkaté ztenčeniny v buněčných stěnách. Předpokládal se značný vliv těchto prvků na rozložení napětí na modelu. Byly provedeny zkoušky mechanických vlastností skutečného dřeva. Výsledky modelu byly srovnány s těmito zkouškami a s hodnotami uváděnými v literatuře. Byla pozorována shoda modelu s experimentem a s hodnotami uvedenými v literatuře.
