In laboratories at FME CTU in Prague and UCEEB CTU in Prague are being developed experimental devices operating on the principle of an organic Rankine cycle (ORC). The working fluid of the experimental ORC at FME is isopropylbenzene. The device is designed as double-circuit. To realize the expansion was used a vane expander of own design. The aim of this paper is to briefly summarize the current state of development and experience from the operation of this experimental ORC. Furthermore, to outline future trends and issues that must be solved in a next period.
