The paper summarizes the local skin exposure of hands of workers at two PET centres in the Czech Republic. Based on three cycles of measurements using thermoluminescent dosimeters, the maximum local skin exposure of hands of workers engaged in dispensing or administering the 18F-labeled radiopharmaceutical has been determined. In addition, the annual hand exposure has been estimated and the relevant correction factors to be used at these centres have been recommended. As to the persons dispensing radiopharmaceuticals, it was estimated that 50% of them can reach the equivalent dose corresponding to the reference level of 150 mSv/y.
