Orbit functions are families of special functions related to the Weyl groups of simple Lie algebras. They are complex functions depending on n variables where n is the rank of the underlying Lie algebra. They possess several remarkable properties, among them a discrete orthogonality when sampled on a lattice fragment of a domain in ℝn . This allows applications of orbit functions in processing of digital data. We present a method for an interpolation of discrete functions using the family of so-called S l-function defined by the Weyl group of the Lie algebra B3.
