The application of synthetic diffractive elements in illumination systems is presented. The elements are used in hybrid refractive-diffractive optical setup for correction of chromatic aberration. The fabrication technology is also presented, which concludes the laser lihography, electro-forming and emobossing and the standard molding technology for fabrication of plastic optics.
