To realize the time transfer via single photon optical link between ground station and orbital module the flying detector package have to fulfill many specific requirements. The one of them is the long-term temporal stability in wide temperature range affecting detector control circuit and signal cables. We are presenting the principles of SPAD package with control circuit based on CMOS components with self-calibration capabilities. Detector is repetitively (with selectable repetition rate) switching between two operation modes. The first one is a standard single photon detection and the second one is a calibration mode. The calibration pulse is applied to the common load that is triggered from the beginning of the range gate pulse or another reference event.
