Methylium or ethylium (organic cations) create chemisorbed, but covalently bonded alkoxy species in zeolitic structures. Neutron powder diffraction patterns were collected from evacuated ampoules with samples at room and 7 K on the KSN-2 diffractometer which is placed at the LVR-15 research reactor in Řež near Prague. 13C MAS NMR measurents make possible to distinquish between signals of bridging and terminal methoxy groups. The complete structural parameters (including chemisorbed ions at O1 and O4 in NaX and at O1 in NaY) were determined by Rietveld analysis using GSAS package. Redistribution of Na+ cations in the lattice of both structures after chemisorption was detected.
