The article discusses how a composition of two detection codes increases detection quality. This issue relates to the requirement 7.3.7.2.1 in EN 50159:2010 (IEC 62280). There is explained why neglecting of detection by the transmission code always results in the upper (pessimistic) estimate in case the linear codes are used. In the article several results of detection quality analyses are presented. The procedure of analysis of concatenated linear codes is described.
