New concept of the state model of transportation micro-region based on a maximum utilization of information from all measured traffic variables has been introduced. The aim of the model is to estimate length of queues that are formed on arms of junctions with traffic lights. The model and estimation algorithm is tested for several types of disturbances which can arise in reality. At least partially, these experiments illustrate the functionality and effectiveness of the proposed model for estimating queue lengths on junction arms in real traffic. V článku je představena nová koncepce stavového modelu dopravní mikrooblasti, která maximálně využívá veškeré měření dopravní informace. Cílem modelu je odhadovat délky kolon v ramenech křižovatek. Model i odhadovací algoritmus je testován pro řadu poruch, ke kterým může v praxí dochůázet. Tyto experimenty alespoň částečně ukazují funkčnost a efektivnost navrhovaného modelu a odhadovacího algoritmu.
