In this paper results of our study of the systems CoCr and CoCr-N thin films are presented. They posses outstanding wear and corrosion resistance as well at high temperature level. In comparison with many cobalt-base materials with significantly low hardness, in the case of the nanocomposite CoCr-N coatings both high value of hardness and wear resistance was attained, while the corrosion resistance remained preserved. Studie prezentuje chování tenkých vrstev CoCr a CoCr-N, které dosahují velmi dobré otěruvzdornosti a odolnosti vůči korozi, a to i za vysokých teplot. Ve srovnání s materiály na bázi kobaltu s nízkou tvrdostí se v případě nanokompozitu CoCr-N dosahuje jak vysoká tvrdost, tak i otěruvzdornost, zatímco odolnost vůči korozi zůstává zachována.
