This paper describes the process of creation of the CTG (cardiotocography signal) record database together with the process of information mining from a hospital informatik system. Although we intended for an online replication of the hospital information system, finally we were able to obtain only monthly snapshots of the database. The CTG records were available in a proprietary format only – however, we were able to partially reverse engineer the format. Nowadays we have fully implemented the automated CTG signal decoding environment. The paper describes the database part together with a virtualized system for CTG record processing.
