In this article we describe the design principles and content of SumatraTT, a tool for Preprocessing for Data Mining. The paper starts by reviewing the main tasks to be ensured during the data preparation phase as well as the algorithms used for that purpose (Section 2). Section 3 explains the design principles and implementation of the data preprocessing tool SumatraTT. Finally, Section 4 summarises the experience we have gained when using SumatraTT for different tasks and our further plans for its development.
