The paper presents a new concept of additional measuring of position using the fiber system. The fiber system is placed on the shoulders of the kinematic pairs in order to reduce restriction of the motion and the manipulation space. The system is designed to measure redundantly the complete relative motion with 6 degrees of freedom (DOF) including arm deformations.
