This paper presents the analysis of the uniaxial loading of the NiTinol wire. The superelastic plateau which corresponds to the transformation phase from austenite to martensite was observed in deformation range approx. 1% - 6%. The experimental data were fitted by a simple rheological model. The model showed a capability to describe the superelastic behaviour of the NiTinol and model parameters were determined.
