we have assembled an on-line modular multi-parameter, tunable and extendable coincidence detector array system based on two and up to four pixel detectors Timepix which can be coupled with supplementary detectors (solid state ΔE detectors and/or ionization chambers) for enhanced ion selectivity. We make use of the integrated USB-based readout interfaces, both the USB 1.0 and the new FITPix USB 2.0 readout devices, which provide detector power, control and data acquisition of the Medipix family of detectors.
