Mechanical properties of blood vessels are studied in our laboratory. One of the methods to obtain parameters for vessel wall constitutive laws is measurement of pressure pulse wave velocity (PWV) in an elastic tube. In this paper, the interesting facts about the measurement are published, specially focused on the pulse frequency and data acquisition frequency. Due to the available biological specimen and high values of the PWV, the acquisition frequency must be more than 2 kHz. On the other hand, the pulse frequency must be very low to suppress reflections of the waves and their superposition. V naší laboratoři se zkoumají mechanické vlastnosti cév. Jedna z metod získání parametrů pro konstitutivní modely cév je měření rychlosti pulzní vlny. V příspěvku jsou popsány důležité parametry měření při použití 3D digitální korelace obrazu.
