The paper recapitulates three essential classes of unexpected situations (UX1, UX2, UX3), the concepts of a special Model of System of Situations (MSS) and a Model of a System of Faults (MSF) and an original method for detecting unexpected situations indicating a violation of a proper invariants of MSS (MSF). Special attention is concentrated on the Degree of Unexpectedness D(Inv(S), UX3), which computes the degree of violation of Invariants on a structure S in the detection of UX3 situations. The higher the D(Inv(S), UX3) quantity is, the more difficult is to execute operations that follow after UX3 detection. (E.g., in FDI field: localisation, isolation, identification and interpretation of UX3 situation.) The introduced examples illustrate the D(Inv(S), UX3) quantities for violation of a few very different invariant structures. V článku jsou rekapitulovány pojmy zavedené v dřívějších citovaných relevantních publikacích: třídy neočekávaných situací UX1, UX2, UX3, %22Model systému situací (MSS)%22, %22Model systému poruch (MSF)%22a %22Stupeň neočekávanosti situace (poruchy) - D(Inv(S), UX3)%22. Situace (porucha) UX3 je detekována jako narušení strukturálního invariantu (modelu MSS nebo MSF). Stupeň neočekávanosti situace (poruchy) - D(Inv(S), UX3) je vypočítáván jako síla narušení strukturálního invariantu na struktuře S (zkonstruované na MSS nebo MSF). Čím vyšší je hodnota D(Inv(S), UX3), tím obtížnější je provedení operací, které zpravidla po detekci následují (v oblasti FDI jsou to např. operace lokalizace, izolace, identifikace a interpretace poruchy). V článku uvedené příklady ilustrují rozpětí hodnot D(Inv(S), UX3) pro velmi odlišné typy struktur a invariantů.
