The paper deals with the investigation of various sensors performance under unsteady conditions using advanced 1-D codes for engine operation simulation. Current combustion engines in vehicles are equipped by sophisticated electronic control. Its potential enables the engine to be controlled according to signals of many sensors in a closed loop. The problem consists in a transfer function between the real controlled quantity and sensor output signal, distorted by sensor dynamic features.
