Visual evoked potentials (VEPs), represents scalp recorded electric activity of brain related to a visual stimulus. Two novel methods for automatic dominant peaks detection of VEPs were developed and evaluated. The first method (Det4) combines an analytic mathematical approach with a priory information about the expected peaks time. The second method is based on continual wavelet transform (CWT). The first analytic method was more accurate then the second wavelet method, compared to manual marking, but the CWT method was more robust for VEPs with low signal to noise ratios.
