In this paper we are interested in the interaction of two dimensional incompressible viscous laminar flow and a solid airfoil. The airfoil can rotate and oscillate in vertical direction. In order to take the grid motion into account the Arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian formulation of the Navier-Stokes system of equation is used. We discuss the GLS stabilization of the FEM, evaluation of forces acting on the profile, time discretization and the solution of the discrete problem.
