Kvalitu nástrojů lze zlepšit různými povrchovými technologiemi jako PVD-povlakováním nebo plasmovou nitridací, nebo jejich kombinací, která je známa jako duplexní povlakování. Tímto postupem je zejména možné dosáhnout vysokou tvrdost, nízkou tepelnou vodivost a vysokou otěruvzdornost. Plasmová nitridace, povlakování PVD a duplexní povlakování byly aplikovány na PM ocel Vanadis 30 a ledeburitickou ocel Vanadis 6. Mikrostruktura povrchových oblastí, hloubka vrstev, tvrdost, ohybová pevnost a další vlastnosti byly studovány. Zjistili jsme, že výkonnost nástrojů se po zpracování uvedenými metodami zvýšila na 130 %. The tool manufacture quality can be improved using various surfacing techniques like the PVD - layering or pulse plasma nitriding or their combinations, well known as the duplex coating. By such a way, it is mainly possible to achieve a high hardness, low thermal conductivity and high wear resistance of processed material. Plasma nitriding, PVD - layering as well as the duplex coating techniques were applied on the P/M Vanadis 30 -type high speed steel and Cr-V Vanadis 6 ledeburitic steel, respectively. The microstructure of surface regions, the hardness increase, the nitriding case depth, three point bending strength and other important characteristics were investigated. We found out that the manufacture quality of the specimens processed via the techniques above was improved up to 130 %.
