The plane and round turbulent jets of incompressible newtonian fluid impinging orthogonally on a flat surface are modeled using RANS equations and linear and non-linear one- and two-equation low-Re turbulence models. The discretization uses formally 3rd order upwind finite-volume method and artificial compressibility method. Integration in time uses backward Euler scheme. The best results provides Menter's SST model, non-linear models did not prove superior to linear ones.
