dcterms:description
In this contribution, we report on a methodology of efficient reproduction of fluctuating stresses, strains and displacements in random microstructured materials subject to uniform strain excitation. In order to avoid an abrupt evaluation of fluctuating fields in a large macro-scopic domain, it is proposed to use small sets of Wang tiles, carrying a complete number of non-local solutions to desired mechanical quantities, evaluated in parallel computers, and synthesized by means of stochastic tiling algorithm. Since readers cannot be expected to be familiar with all of these subjects, elementary facts, that can be found in literature are explained, but whose omission would make the paper difficult reading.
