The specific property of fair face concrete is that its surface is not in any way protected by tiles or other mechanical barrier against penetration of aggressive substance from the environment into the internal structure of the concrete. The paper presents the selected experimental methods for evaluation the quality of the surface layer of concrete aimed at monitoring the permeability of concrete, since concrete permeability is a property uniquely affecting durability of concrete. These methods are complemented by experimental results and other traditional tests.
