Geoglyphs are commonly known as large structures built on the Earth's surface. The objects of interest are located around Palpa village, Peru which is located about 40km northwest from Nazca plain, where the most popular geoglyphs are situated. Local geoglyphs have a shape of geometric lines, triangles, trapezoids or circles placed in close by desert. Thanks to spatial resolution improvement of satellite images we now have the potential to document and analyze without in-situ measurements. This paper deals with finding different mathematical methods (classifications, filters) for geoglyph detection on images acquired by GeoEye - 1 (2009) and QuickBird - 1 (2005) sattelite.
