dcterms:description
The underground in the first approximately 100 m is well suited for supply and conservation of thermal energy. This technology makes use of stable temperature in the ground during all year and temperature increase of 1 °C for each 30 m of depth. There are two main methods how to utilize this energy. First are Ground Source Heat Pumps GSHP and second Underground Thermal Energy Storage UTES. The contribution deals with both variants, trying to show possible energy savings and CO2 emission reduction. There were also performed several simulations demonstrating advantages of using this systems in climatic area of central Europe.
