LayBe (abbreviation from a Layered Beam) is utility (a set of functions including a graphical user interface) written for MATLAB. LayBe is designated for numerical simulations of layered beams with imperfect interfaces. Two isotropic or orthotropic linear elastic layers are considered. Next, there are perfect brittle interfaces or interfaces with linear softening. The plane stress or plane strain assumtion is considered. A time-independent energy based model and isotropic damage mechanics are used for simulation of the problem. The numerical solution of LayBe is based on total FETI.
