The bridge described in this paper crosses the Masaryk´s railway station in Prague as a part of a new railway line, which is now under construction in the city. The line is called the New link and its reason is to connect the principle railway stations in Prague. It should be finished in 2008. The viaduct over the Masaryk´s railway station has a prestressed concrete continuous superstructure of twelve spans of 31,5 - 39,87 m, carrying four-to five ballasted tracks. Because of the location of the structure in the city centre, both the structural and aesthetical qualities are very important.
