Several different homogenization techniques, among them formulas proposed by Dobson et al., de Loor, Boettcher, Polder and van Santen, and Lichtenecker, as well as some empirical formulas developed for various types of soils are applied in the calibration of TDR method for measuring moisture content of building materials. The results are compared with the empirical calibration function determined by the gravimetric method.
