The research has been concerned on the biocompatibility of composites having the PE-matrix and carbon/glass fibers.The biotolerance of the living tissue was proved on the boundary surfaces between the implant (UHMPE) with copolymer collagen-glycosaminoglycan and living tissue. The histological findings showed a well-organized tissue of the developped capsule in the surroundings of the replacement.
