dcterms:description
The present contribution extends the procedure proposed by authors to determine a Periodic Unit Cell (PUC) for balanced plain weave fabric composites with reinforcement imperfections. In this framework, geometrical parameters of the idealized PUC are determined so that it resembles the real geometry of a composite, obtained from digitized micrographs of plain weave cross-sections, as close as possible. In particular, the quality of a unit cell is quantified by the least-square difference between proper statistical descriptors related to the original and an idealized unit cell, respectively. The resulting unit cell can be then used as an input for appropriate numerical simulations of overall behavior using, e.g., the finite element method. Based on conclusions drawn from previous numerical experiments the original procedure is expanded in two main aspects. First, a two-layer idealized unit cell is introduced to incorporate a relative shift of individual layers in the model. V tomto příspěvku je diskotováno rozšíření metodiky navržené autory v předchozích pracích na komplikovanější textilní struktury.
