To prepare bicrystals of an Fe-2.5wt% Si alloy with a 36.9?(100) twist grain boundary perpendicular to the rod axis, the floating zone technique was applied. The method is based on growing a single crystal, melting a zone in its center, rotating both unmelted parts by desired angle, and crystallizing slowly the molten zone. During the solidification of the zone, macrosegregation occurs. Its range is studied and described. The differences in chemical composition can be reduced by annealing the bicrystal at temperatures below melting point. Metoda visuté zonální tavby byla použita k přípravě bikrystalů slitiny Fe-2.5hm.% s 36.9?(100)zkrutovou hranicí. Metoda je založena na růstu monokrystalu, roztavení jeho středové části rotace obou neroztavených částí o požadovaný úhel a pomalé krystalizaci roztavené zóny. Během tuhnutí zóny dochází k makrosegregaci příměsí. Její rozsah je studován a popsán. Rozdíly v chemickém složení lze redukovat žíháním bikrystalu při teplotách pod bodem tání.
