The interaction of the diastereomeric complexes delta-[Ru(bpy)2(m-GHK)]Cl2 and lambda-[Ru(bpy)2(m-GHK)]Cl2 (bpy is 2,2'-bipyridine, GHK is glycine-1-histidine-1-lysine) with the deoxyribonucleotide duplex d(5'-CGCGATCGCG)2 was characterized by means of 1H NMR spectroscopy. In addition, photocleavage studies were also conducted with the plasmid pUC19 and a 158-bp restriction fragment, showing that both diastereomers cleave DNA with similar efficiency, attacking mainly the guanines of the sequence probably by generating active oxygen species. Interakce diastereomerních komplexů delta-[Ru(bpy)2(m-GHK)]Cl2 a lambda-[Ru(bpy)2(m-GHK)]Cl2 (bpy je 2,2'-bipyridine, GHK je glycine-1-histidine-1-lysine) s deoxyribonukleotidovým duplexem d(5'-CGCGATCGCG)2 byla charakterizována pomocí 1H NMR spectroscopie. Kromě toho byly provedeny fotolytické studie s plasmidovou DNA pUC19 a restrikčním fragmentem dlouhým 158 párů bází, které ukázaly, že oba diastereomery štěpí DNA s podobnou účinností zejména v místech guaninových zbytků pravděpodobně za vzniku aktivních forem kyslíku.
