The aim of this work was to investigate electrical and optical properties of lead iodide with admixtures of seven rare earth elements. The material was prepared by direct synthesis, and purified by zone melting. The effect of rare earth elements has been evaluated by measurements of resistivity and low temperature PL spectra. The obtained highest resistivity of purified material was 1,3x1013 Ωcm. The obtained highest resistivity of purified material was 1,3x1013 Ωcm. Cílem této práce bylo zkoumat elektrické a optické vlastnosti jodidu olovnatého s příměsemi sedmi prvků vzácných zemin. Vliv vzácných zemin byl vyhodnocen měřením resistivity a nízkoteplotními PL spektry. Nejvyšší hodnota resistivity čištěného materiálu byla 1,3x1013 Ωcm.
