Our contribution deals with identification and characterization of iron oxides of anthropogenic origin present in atmospheric PM10. Due to relatively very low concentration, high sensitivity and reliability of magnetic measurements is needed. We show the typical spherical shape of these particles, revealed using SEM. The presence of coarse-grained magnetite is proved by Mossbauer spectroscopy. Effectiveness and applicability of different magnetic measurements is demonstrated. V tomto příspěvku se zabýváme identifikací a popisem částic oxidu železa antropogenního původu v atmosférickém prachu PM10. Vzhledem k velmi nízké koncentraci diskutujeme vysoké nároky kladené na citlivost a spolehlivost měření. Ukazujeme, že tyto částice mají typicky kulovitý tvar. Přítomnost hrubozrnného magnetitu je prokázána Mossbauerovskou spektroskopií, Demonstrujeme účinnost a limity použití různých magnetických měření.
