Quantum dots are relatively homogeneous group of nanoparticles and can be modified and synthesized in different ways. One of the newest and yet not too investigated method is synthesis using living organisms. One of the organisms in which this property was described, are earthworms, which are able to synthesize monocrystals of cadmium telluride. The ability of worms to deal with cadmium and synthesize quantum dots was the aim of this work.
