The aim of the study was to follow the changes of concentration of selenium in goat?s milk during short term supplementation 250 μg of selenium. The experiment was carried out with 24 lactating dairy goats which were divided in four experimental groups, 6 goats in every group. The average concentrations of Se in milk were from day 7 to day 20 of supplementation following: 12.53 ? 3.69 μg.l-1 (group C), 25.90 ? 6.30 μg.l-1 (group S), 13.14 ? 3.54 μg.l-1 (group L), 11.70 ? 3.69 μg.l-1 (group B). The differences between group S and other groups were highly significant. Cílem pokusu bylo sledování dynamiky změn koncentrace selenu v mléce koz při krátkodobé perorální suplementaci selenu a srovnání tří různých forem selenu: kvasinky obohacené Se (skupina S), laktáto-proteinový komplex Se (skupina L), proteinát Se (skupina B). Jednotlivé preparáty selenu byly podávány individuálně perorálně po ranním krmení v dávce 250 μg Se na kus a den po dobu 20 dní. Po zahájení suplementace selenu došlo během 5 dnů k postupnému nárůstu koncentrace selenu v mléce ve skupině S, kde byl podáván selen ve formě kvasinek, u ostatních se koncentrace Se v mléce výrazněji neměnily. Od 5.dne byly rozdíly mezi skupinou S a ostatními skupinami (C, L, B) statisticky významné. Od 7. do 20. dne suplementace Se byly průměrné koncentrace Se v mléce u jednotlivých skupin 12,53 ? 3,69 μg.l-1 (C), 25,90 ? 6,30 μg.l-1 (S), 13,14 ? 3,54 μg.l-1 (L), 11,70 ? 3,69 μg.l-1 (B). Rozdíly mezi skupinou S a ostatními byly vysoce signifikantní.
