dcterms:description
An Intensive research after possibilities of substitution of peat by another materials, especially by waste bark, has been carried out in nursery-advanced countries for many ages. Our department (Department of Breeding and Propagation of Horticultural Plants, Faculty of Horticulture, Mendel University of Agriculture and Forestry, Lednice, Czech Republic) has engaged in this problem, too. A Growing technology brought in and experimentally verified by us solves a basic problem of bark substrates - easy and fast drying of substrate and unbalanced nutrition of woody plants. The base of technology, brought in by us, is growing of woody plants in bark substrates with use of modern irrigation system, Czech storage fertilizers based on few resolvable salts An Intensive research after possibilities of substitution of peat by another materials, especially by waste bark, has been carried out in nursery-advanced countries for many ages.
