dcterms:description
Effect of arbuscular mycorrhiza on tomato plants (Lycopersicon lycopersicum) in pot experiment was studied. Experiment contained 54 containers with tomato plants under three different fertilization regimes (optimum - H1, stress a - H2, stress b - H3) and three different mycorrhizal treatment (control, Glomus mossae - Gm, Glomus intraradices -- Gi). In container of optimum variant H1 was added 10 g bone meal (calcium phosphate content of 80%) and 10 g of calcium sulphate (14% sulfur content). In containers of stress variant H2 was added 5 g of bone meal and 5 g of calcium sulphate. In containers of stress variant H3 was added 2.5 g of bone meal and 2.5 g of calcium sulphate. Economical and morphological parameters (yield, root weight), nutritional characteristic (dry matter, vitamin C content, phosphates and minerals content, total antioxidant capacity), and level of root colonization were studied. The yield of tomatoes was influenced by the basic dose of fertilization, especially in the H2 and H3 variant. In H2 variant was the highest yield at Gm (938 g per plant) compared to Ctrl (838 g per plant), which makes an increase of 10 %. In H2 variant was the highest yield at Gm (913 g per plant) compared to control (782 g per plant), with an increase of 14 %. Positive effect of inoculation resulted by increased content of vitamin C. The most significant influence was observed in H2 variant (plants inoculated with Gi) with average content of vitamin C 289 mg.kg-1, an increase compared to the control (230 mg.kg-1) represented 20 %. The average rate of colonization was in the range from 39 % to 65 %, and confirmed mycorrhizal symbiosis process.
