Introduction A change from a standing position on both legs to a standing on one leg requires a sensorimotor co-ordination and effective muscle activation patterns involved in postural function. It is not know, whether there are differences in sequence of muscle activation (timing) during this motor task between younger and older subjects. Material and methods The whole group of subjects under study involved 32 females, divided into two groups of different age ? 20 healthy young women and 10 older women.
